Freo Today. 5 March 2025. Here’s Jon Brown, one of Fremantle Port’s Marine Pilots, about to board Cosco Genoa,  a container ship, 14 miles off shore. Both the container ship and Kwilena, the pilot boat, travelling at 10 knots during the transfer. The Shipping News’ Shipping Correspondent, Jean Hudson, was there to capture the tricky and dangerous manoeuvre.
