FCO To Celebrate Turning 20 With Big Concert

Fremantle’s very own Fremantle Chamber Orchestra directed by Hans Hug* is about to turn 20 and is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a carefully crafted, exciting and heartwarming program that includes famous and forgotten jewels.

This will be an exquisite listening experience from the first to the last note, featuring astounding 15-year-old violinist Ellie Malonzo, amazing conductor, violinist and violist Paul Wright, fabulous cellist Melinda Forsythe and great clarinettist Michael Hodgkins.

The success of FCO is built on its reputation for inspiring interpretations and innovative programs that appeal to newcomers and lovers of classical music alike, attracting the best musicians in WA and internationally (for example Dutch violinist Rudolf Koelman), the immense generosity of its sponsors and donors, and extensive voluntary admin and organisational support.

While bringing bliss and joy to so many listeners, FCO also creates opportunities for talented young musicians as soloists and members of the orchestra, while helping, in recent times, to raise $59,670 for Ukrainian women and children in their time of need.
