Old Traffic Bridge Closed Wednesday Night

Main Roads WA have advised Fremantle Shipping News of two imminent traffic management events.

1. The closure of the Old Traffic Bridge overnight tomorrow night, 21 May 2025, from 7 pm.
2. Annoying lane works for 5 nights from Sunday, 25 May, where Marmion Street intersects with Stirling Highway.

Here’s the detail.

One assumes it’s Main Roads way of (un)subtly getting us all used to what’s to come in 2026. As we have reported recently, significant changes aka mayhem, are in store on the traffic route front from the beginning of 2026 for the best part of the year until the new traffic bridge opens late in 2026.
