On 21 September last year the Mexican tall shipARM Cuauhtemoc departed Fremantle. Her departure, as her arrival, was spectacular with many Fremantle people lining South amd North Moles, as our Gallery of photographs by Deanna Shanahan of @flotsamandjetsam6162 showed.

She’s the same wonderful ship who overnight in New York lost power and crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge in lower Manhattan with the loss of two lives, as reported in The New York Times.
Our hearts go out to the families of the lost crew and the ship and her crew as a whole.
