Azamara Onward sailed into Fremantle this morning from Busselton, just after 7am.
The sun had already risen, pink fringed bruised clouds filled the sky and the sun cast golden crepuscular rays over the port. By the time she had tied up at the passenger terminal, blue sky peeped out amongst the fluffy clouds.
She’s on a one-way 87-day cruise from San Diego, California, to Laem Chabang, Thailand. The current cruise has been running since 6 January and ends on 3 April, 2025.
The 1999-built (as Pacific Princess) cruise ship became Azamara Onward in 2021. She was originally named after the other famous Pacific Princess cruise ship, which starred in the popular TV series “The Love Boat”.
She used to be snow white, but had her hull painted black when she became Azamara Onward and joined her fleetmates, that have all now visited Fremantle, Azamara Quest, Azamara Journey and Azamara Pursuit.
She is a luxury mid-sized ship, and can accommodate about 684 passengers. The brand is known for its upscale voyages; offering exceptional service, fine dining, and immersive travel experiences with longer stays in port.
However, this is not the case on this visit to Fremantle – she is only here for the day and leaves again this evening Monday, 3 March at 5.30pm for Benoa, Bali.
