View from the Round House with Martin Drum – WA, Fremantle, Bicton (& Trump)

Welcome back to our politics podcast, View From The Round House With Martin Drum.

Last week we focused on the new Trump era and wondered when Albo will name the Federal election date. (Your Editor still thinks before ANZAC Day.) In this episode we focus much closer to home. With the WA State elections to be held in just a month, on 8 March 2025, we wonder whether there’s any chance the Cook Labor Government won’t be returned to Government, and look at two interesting local contests where Labor is the incumbent: Fremantle and Bicton. We also ask if there’s anything we should marvel at in all the goings on in Washington DC.

Martin Drum is the Executive Dean for the Faculty of Arts, Sciences, Law and Business and Professor of Politics and International Relations at the University of Notre Dame Australia, a frequenter of Fremantle, and a well known political pundit.
