Loving South Beach – A Poem

Loving South Beach – A Poem

The sun’s still rising
A summer sun
Early
Feels like
I’m the only living boy
On South Beach
But I’m not alone
A seagull or two
Ships anchored out there
Early beach walkers
Early swimmers
Some long lappers
Some around the pontoon and back
Some on SUPs
Some just walking in the water
An occasional hello
Or a quick smile
Lost in thoughts
Long thoughts
About life
Loving place
Loving South Beach
