As we reported in today’s Freo Today feature on the Shipping News, last evening at Fremantle Port a goodly number of folk protested the continued export of live sheep from Australia and demanded that some 2000 sheep currently being held on the livestock carrier Bahijah off Fremantle be let off the vessel.
The Bahijah is currently anchored off Fremantle in Gage Roads.
Here’s a gallery of pics from the rally.
We wonder what will happen next. Surely leaving the Bahijah anchored in Gage Roads is not a viable option. Nor is an easy passage to the Middle East to unload the ship’s cargo any time soon a viable option.
