FRINGE Benefits in Freo

FRINGE WORLD is in now in full swing, running from 20 January – 19 February.

You don’t have to go into Perth to enjoy the fun. You can if you like, but there are also shows and exhibitions in venues all over Freo.

In Freo, there’s the: The Comedy Factory at The Federal Hotel; The Comedy Shack at The Sonar Room next to Little Creatures; as well as at: The Old Courthouse; DADAA; Kidogo; PS Art Space and Western Australia Shipwrecks Museum.

You can choose between –
* Cabaret & Variety
* Theatre & Performances
* Children’s events
* Comedy
* Dance
* Physical Theatre
* Music & Musicals.

Or, if FRINGE-ing isn’t your thing, just take a stroll around Victoria Quay at Fremantle Port and have a look at the ships in Port.

Who needs magicians when you can watch large ships doing death defying manoeuvres in the harbour!

In the past few days we have had ships with burlesque sounding names, like – Atlantic Rose, DL Lilac and Umbra.

Others could be acrobats in a Fringe Show – Onyx Arrow, Zenith Explorer, Absolute and Maximos.
