What the heck is Cold Nips?
That’s exactly the question your editor asked himself when he stumbled across a couple hundred young folk at Bathers Beach this morning around 6 am while out on his morning exercise cycle and dip.
Well, the two engaging organisers soon filled him in on what Cold Nips is all about.
Cold Nips is an ice-breaking Australia-wide community movement open to anyone and everyone.
The clever inventors focus on our core beliefs of connection, discomfort, joy, nature and finding meaning.
They encourage folk to ‘meet, splash n vibe’ every Wednesday at a local beach near you, pop up at events, and run Cold Nips sessions promoting wellbeing!
The Cold Dips’ mission is to promote wellbeing, understanding and positive mental health among people, so that we may all live a happier, healthier and fuller life.
Their motto seems to be Dip, Nip n Sip!
Here’s our great gallery of this morning’s dippers, nippers and sippers at Bathers Beach, Fremantle.

Long may they keep on keeping on!
