Latest Covid Stats – Looking Promising ⬇️

While the Premier has announced that Covid restrictions will continue until 4 January 2022, the good news seems to be the rate of community infection is nowhere as bad as we all feared. Hopefully there will be no restrictions after 4 January.

Today, WA Health has reported one new local COVID-19 case in Western Australia until 8pm last night. The new case is a close contact of the initial recent Case 1133.

This is in addition to yesterday’s one local case which was announced out of the reporting cycle and is included in today’s figures.

Both cases tested positive while in quarantine and are not considered to have been contagious while in the community.

This brings the total number of locally acquired cases to 10. All cases related to this outbreak are assumed to be Delta, following confirmation that this is the strain the index case has.
