FAC has four new exhibitions opening tonight. Fremantle Arts Centre Print Award is back. From 6:30pm tonight, view works from 56 finalist from across the country and hear this year’s winner announced.
And repeat. sees artist Melissa McGrath working intensively in the galleries, collaborating with a group of local print makers through a series of residencies.
Harry Hummerston: Screenprints features 37 prints that showcase the breadth and sophistication of this senior WA artist’s practice. In celebration of City of Fremantle’s Library turning 70, FAC is hosting Lending Library. View works created by community members and local artists using discarded library stock.
Plus, FAC has announced Perth’s most popular live storytelling series Barefaced Stories will light up the Inner Courtyard for their bumper Music Edition on Thursday 12 Dec. Hosted by co-creators, Andrea Gibbs (ABC Radio) and Kerry O’Sullivan, this one-off storytelling and musical extravaganza features special guest musicians Lucy Peach and Ofa Fotu (Hot Brown Honey, Odette Mercy) alongside fellow musicians and fascinating locals.
