At the corner of King William Street and Marine Terrace, South Fremantle, is a small, community, garden-like park which is perfect for pre-school age kids, as well as bigger ones, including their mums and dads, opas and omas. As the plaque there will tell you, the park was the inspired outcome of local community action. The same community continues to tend to and maintain the park gardens which are watered by ‘gray water’ from the homes of neighbours. As one 3 year old was heard to say, this Park is “awesome”. The park includes a shaded sandpit and swings. An easy walk from the South Terrace, cafes or along Marine Tce.
