Yet another distraction

Freo Today. 29 September 2026. Here’s yet another distraction from the angst of last Saturday afternoon. Heavy lift ship UHL Fighter, a 150-metre F900 Eco-Lifter, rides at anchor in Gage Roads on Sunday before berthing at Henderson. She’s one of 17 identical sister ships built by Hudong in Shanghai. She has two 450t cranes 🏗️ that’s 900t combined when lifting tandem. She typically carries project and oversized cargo that won’t fit in standard containers or bulk carriers. Her likely cargo might be Defence related items, as Australian Marine Complex handles a lot of that. But we also hear a whisper that it’s Chevron related! Pic by Jean Hudson
