Wadjemup Lighthouse

Freo Today. 2 April 2021. If you are enjoying the Easter weekend at Rotto, do say Happy 125th Birthday to the Wadjemup Lighthouse. Built in 1986. Now covered in scaffold and having a major face lift. Will be open to the public in June. It opened in March 1896, built in one year, construction overseen by the colony’s engineer-in-chief, C.Y. O’Connor. (Thanks Jean Hudson and Kim Pervan!)
