Tuart Place remains at 24 High Street

FREO TODAY

Freo Today. 11 March 2026. Nearly Easter. A time when Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and new life. On Monday this week, all the people who make the wonderful Tuart Place organisation at 24 High Street, Fremantle such an admired and treasured organisation were celebrating the news that their tenure at 24 High Street is secure for the next 5 years, thanks to the kind offices of Tim and Leonie Baldock, the new owners of the heritage building on the site. New life has been breathed into the organisation. FSN readers will recall it was not so long ago that Tuart Place was fighting to fend off their eviction from the premises at the hands of the former owner of the building, an entity associated with the Christian Brothers. On Monday, following a smoking ceremony outside 24 High Street conducted by Noongar Elder Nick Abraham, a function inside celebrated the good news. Onwards and upwards!
