Northern Justice, home port Madeira

Freo Today. 10 May 2023. Justice comes in many shapes and forms. This one’s Northern Justice. Built in South Korea in 2010, she now sails under the flag of Portugal. Her home port, as you can see, is Madeira, the Portuguese Island from which so many Freo Portuguese families originally hailed. For those Shipees who live by these stats, she’s about 334 metres long and 44 metres wide, big enough to carry many containers. Her gross tonnage is 94,419. Northern Justice is in from Adelaide and is soon to depart to Singapore. She was quite a sight when she arrived just before 5 pm today, shepherded in by not one, not two, but three Svitzer tugs!
