Kaya!

Freo Today. 14 July 2026. Kaya! Pelican on duty to welcome morning ferry arrival at Thomson Bay, Wadjemup, in from Walyalup. And as coincidence would have it, that vessel behind the pelican is named ‘Kaya’, and is one of the busy Rottnest barges. The Rottnest Barge Service’s two dedicated landing craft, Kaya and Spinifex, are capable of providing all the freight requirements to Rotto, including all utilities, supplies and construction materials.
