Freo Today. 29 March 2026. You’ve just gotta luv this Bridge, hey? The blue wrapping really adds something, don’t you think? But one fears the blue will go before it’s opened. And it’ll then have a smooth rendered concrete finish, as suggested in this earlier artist’s impression of the new bridge. However, we feel sure, like the Sydney Opera House, the new Fremantle Traffic Bridge will be lit up at night and, from time to time will be lit up in fab colours, like all Purple with a dash of White and a touch of Red and Green after the Freo Dockers win the 2026 AFL Premiership Flag! Can’t you just see it!
