The old and the newer

Freo Today. 13 October 2022. Another fine Kambarang day. Sun out. Sky blue. Gum trees quivering and swaying. And here’s the first Fremantle Hospital, circa 1900, on the right, and a newer, 60s addition, on the left. More on the first one, built in 1853 as the home of the first Comptroller General of the Fremantle Convict Establishment and called The Knowle, coming up soon in the Shipping News.
