We’ve got parts of the world covered!

Freo Today. 16 November 2023. Busy at the Harbour this afternoon. On your left, Dream Beauty, a RO-RO, or if you must, a Vehicles Carrier, built in 2006 and currently sailing under the flag of Panama. In the middle, Absolute, our local Freo-based fuel ship. And Xue Long, the Chinese icebreaking research vessel, on the right, all dressed up in Mao Red. The Xue Long was built in 1993 at the Kherson Shipyard in Ukraine. She was later converted from an Arctic cargo ship to a polar research and re-supply vessel by Hudong–Zhonghua Shipbuilding of Shanghai by the mid-1990s. Then she was further and extensively upgraded in 2007 and 2013 to what you see today. So we’ve got parts of the world covered today in port – Panama, Ukraine, the Arctic, China and Freo!
