Today’s The Annual Day Of The Seafarer

Freo Today. 25 June 2025. Today is the annual Day of the Seafarer. The IMO – the International Maritime Organisation – today observes the annual Day of the Seafarer with the theme “My Harassment-Free Ship”. This initiative aims to promote a culture of respect and zero tolerance for bullying and harassment at sea. Recognising that over 50% of female seafarers and a significant number of male seafarers have experienced harassment, the campaign seeks to raise awareness, encourage proactive industry action, and provide seafarers with resources and support to combat such issues.
