Ship of Gold

Freo Today. 19 May 2025. While everyone down at Victoria Quay early this morning was awaiting the departure on STS Leeuwin II under tow, in came this Ship of Gold. A fabulous sunrise around 7 am made the 336.61 metre MSC Roma blaze like it was cast in gold. She was supported by 4 tugs who then worked hard to turn her in the Harbour. Tug’s reflection on hull. She’s in from Melbourne, next port of call Singapore. The Leeuwin’s departure was delayed as a result. We will bring you pics of the Leeuwin’s departure for repairs later.
