Like It Or Not, It’s Not Far Away!

Freo Today. 12 June 2025. While cruise ships come and go, it seems Fremantle’s new District Police Station is here to stay. This pic shows you progress to date. On South Terrace, central Freo, on the south side of the Old Synagogue precinct, immediately west of Fremantle Oval, and just north of Freo Hospital, it will undoubtedly become a new Fremantle landmark before long – like it or not! Many will recall the community reaction to the location and the design when it was proposed, but in case you’ve forgotten, here’s one of our stories from 2 years ago that will also serve to remind you of what the new police station will look like when complete and just where it is.
