It might be the answer – just like Samos!

Freo Today. 19 April 2025. Our Editor, who’s on his Waterfronts of Turkiye and Greece Study Tour 2025, found his way to Pythagoreio on the island of Samos, North Aegean, Greece today. As it turns out just a hop skip and a jump from Türkiye. His aim is to discover waterfronts that might inspire Future of Freo thinkers in how we design our Freo waterfronts in years to come. A Pythagoreio Port outcome wouldn’t be half bad. Yachties turning up in Freo. Tying up. Heading up to the Cappuccino Strip for a feed and some ouzo. It might be the answer – just like Samos! (And yes, Pythagoreio is named after the Greek mathematician Pythagorus who was born on Samos.)
