Iceberg – Expedition Yacht

Freo Today. 20 March 2025. Here’s Iceberg leaving Challenger Harbour, Fremantle, at 8 am this morning on her way to Rous Head, Fremantle. She sails under the flag of Jamaica. Obviously in Freo for a bit of a scrub and some tinkering before getting back to the job of making paying guests happy. She’s properly described as a ‘Yacht’ of the expeditionary type, some 33.83 metres in length. She was built by Circa Marine in Auckland and delivered to her proud new owner in 2015. Her interior design and exterior styling were the work of Dashew Offshore in the States. It seems she was onsold in late 2021. Her asking price at the time was just over US$6.5 mil. We aren’t sure what she went for, but you get the idea! And it seems you can now charter her – for a pretty penny, of course. Top speed 15.5 knots, with a cruising speed of 13 kn. If you slow a tad to just over 11 kn, her range is just under 4,000 km! She can accomodate up to 7 guests, plus 2 crew. Go on. Check out the charter options! You can hear the Kimberley beckoning!
