On Saturday morning just gone, regular beachgoers at South Beach, including super snapper Deanna Shanahan of the famous Instagram duo @flotsamandjetsam6162, took a moment or three to take in this warm, though slightly troubling, sight. The Red Rebels, as it transpires, had manifested themselves at South Beach. On further inquiry, the Shipping News learned Saturday was Extinction Rebellion Red Rebel global day of action to mourn ecocide and genocide. ‘We chose to wear keffiyehs and our event was called “From the River to the Sea”’,one of the Rebs told us.
