No Nuke Protest Ramps Up

Freo Today. 13 April 2025. As the Federal election campaigns hot up, so does the No Nuke, No AUKUS protests. Yesterday, there was a NO NUKES-NO AUKUS Walk from Port Beach to Cottesloe opposite the “safe anchorage” point of Gage Roads. The protesters were wanting to raise awareness of the health, safety and environmental risks of nuclear-powered submarines and the need for Australia to have independent defence and foreign policies, and for WA to be nuclear free.
