Lillydale Park is yet another truly tiny community park, also with things for small kids, near Lilly and Dale Streets. The walk to get there from South Terrace is a little longer than to the other small parks, but well worth the exercise, introducing you along the way to South Fremantle’s quaint heritage cottages. Alight the Blue Cat bus at stop 8 on South Terrace, go east on Charles St, left at Attfield St, right into Martha St, left into Lilly St then right into Dale St. The park then lies in front of you. A quicker route, but a far less satisfying one, is from Hampton Rd, just opposite St John’s Anglican Church south of South Street, through the little laneway.
